Foxit PDF Editor vs Adobe Acrobat: which should your company choose?
A frank comparison of Foxit PDF Editor and Adobe Acrobat Pro on price, features, performance and local support in Vietnam.
When companies shop for professional PDF software, the shortlist is almost always Adobe Acrobat Pro versus Foxit PDF Editor. Here is how they stack up.
Licensing cost
Foxit PDF Editor+ costs around 5,190,000₫ per user per year versus roughly 13,000,000₫ for Acrobat Pro — a saving of about 60%. Foxit also still offers a perpetual license (7,990,000₫, one-time), which Adobe discontinued.
Features
For the core tasks — editing text, converting to and from Word/Excel, OCR, digital signatures, security and redaction — the two products are functionally equivalent. Foxit’s ribbon interface mirrors Microsoft Office, so office staff need essentially no retraining.
Adobe retains an edge in specialist print-production features (preflight, ICC color) that only print shops genuinely need.
Performance
Foxit is dramatically lighter: a ~1GB install versus ~4GB, lower RAM usage and faster startup. On typical office hardware the difference is immediately noticeable.
Local support in Vietnam
Buying Foxit through a local partner such as FoxitPDF.vn means Vietnamese-language installation and technical support, full VAT invoicing, and same-day license delivery by email.
Verdict
Unless you need Adobe’s print-production extras, Foxit PDF Editor is the better value by a wide margin. Call 0866 398 102 for volume pricing.
